The Standard Bank Derek Cooper Africa Scholarships at the London School of Economics, 2018


London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) is one of the foremost social science universities in the world.

Each year LSE offers over £11.5 million in scholarships to its graduate students. There are also funding opportunities from external organisations, research councils and governments around the world.

Applicants will ordinarily be resident in one of Standard Bank's African presence countries, with a preference for residents of South Africa, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Angola, Mozambique and South Sudan.

The scholarships are aimed at students who currently do not have the financial means to pursue further studies of this nature.


The three scholarships will each provide £30,000 towards the fees for the program and the remainder towards living costs
